More information about Dem Turkish Courses:
Who is the Turkish language teacher?
Merhaba! I'm Ali Akpınar, your Turkish language teacher.
I was born in Istanbul (1972) and graduated from Marmara University's English Language Teaching program.
With 30 years of experience teaching both English and Turkish, I know what it takes to guide adult learners to real fluency.
I founded Dem Turkish Center in 2005. Since then, I've helped thousands of students learn Turkish through self-study materials, online
courses, and one-to-one lessons.
My teaching philosophy is simple: You learn a language by "using" it. That's why every lesson I create focuses on reading, writing, and speaking – not just grammar rules.
If you have any questions about my courses or need more details, please reach out via the online support button, email, or WhatsApp.
Thank you for your interest. I look forward to helping you speak Turkish with confidence.

What are the levels?
Levels & Courses – Find Your Starting Point
At Dem Turkish Center, we currently offer four structured course levels. Each level is a complete 4-month structured course program with teacher guidance, live sessions, and full materials.
The Four Levels
- A1 | Starter / Beginner | Absolute beginners. No previous Turkish knowledge needed.
- A2 | Elementary | You know basics (greetings, introductions, present tense). Ready to expand.
- PI | Pre-intermediate | You completed A2 but find B1 too big a jump. This is your bridge.
- B1 | Intermediate | You can handle daily conversations. Now build fluency and real confidence.
Why Do We Have a Pre-intermediate (PI) Level?
Great question. Many Turkish courses jump directly from A2 to B1. But in our 30 years of teaching experience, we've seen the same problem again and again:
The gap between A2 and B1 is simply too large for most learners.
Students finish A2 feeling proud – then open a B1 book and feel lost. Grammar gets harder. Reading becomes complex. Motivation drops.
That's why we created the PI (Pre-intermediate) level – a dedicated bridge course.
PI is perfect for you if:
- you have completed A2 but don't feel ready for B1.
- you want more practice before moving to intermediate level.
- you prefer smaller, more comfortable steps.
Current Availability
We are constantly updating our courses to give you the best possible learning experience.
- Right now A1 level is available and fully updated.
- Coming soon A2, PI, and B1 levels will be released in the coming months.
Want to be notified when your level is ready? Contact us via the support button – we'll let you know personally.
What's Included in Your $200 Investment?
That's $200 for a full 4-month structured course program – not per month, but for the entire level.
Here's everything you get:
- Full materials 4 months of access to all Turkish learning materials for your level.
- 8 live Q&A + practice sessions Real-time online sessions to practice speaking and ask questions.
- Unlimited teacher support Reach me anytime via email, WhatsApp, or other software – no waiting, no extra fees.
"Is $200 too expensive?" Let's break it down.
That's $50 per month – or roughly $1.60 per day. Less than a coffee.
What do you get for that? No guessing. No random apps. Just a teacher-guided learning system with structure + practice + support – proven to take you from A1 to real conversations.
Can you really afford "not" to have a clear path?
You're not paying for materials. You're paying for a system + a teacher who answers your questions anytime.
FrequentlyAsked Questions (FAQ)
1. Can I really learn Turkish in 4 months?
Great question – and let's be honest with you.
In 4 months, you won't be fluent. But you "will" complete a full level (A1, A2, PI, or B1) with a solid foundation. You'll be able to:
- Understand and use everyday expressions
- Introduce yourself and talk about basic needs
- Read short texts and understand simple conversations
Fluency takes longer. But progress? Absolutely. And with our teacher-guided learning system, you'll never feel lost or stuck.
2. I don't think I can learn with a 4-month course. I need more time – like 6 months. Is it possible?
The 4-month structured course program is the "recommended" pace if you study regularly. But every learner is different.
You can take the course at your own pace. Your materials access and teacher support is 4 months, but you can study and complete the course yourself. Your teacher will be online when you need help, except live sessions.
3. I can't make the payment through the store. Is there another way to pay?
Yes – and thank you for asking.
If the online store payment isn't working for you, don't worry. Just contact us.
I (Ali) will personally get back to you and arrange an alternative payment method. No stress, no technical headaches.
4. What if I miss a live Q&A session?
No problem at all. We can reschedule it.
5. How many hours per week should I study?
We recommend 5–7 hours per week.
That's roughly 1 hour per weekday, or 2–3 hours every other day.
With structure + practice + support, consistent short sessions work better than cramming once a week.
6. Do I get a certificate after completing a level?
No, we don't offer certificates.
7. What if I choose the wrong level?
Happens. And it's easy to fix.
If you start and realize the level is too easy or too hard contact me and I'll personally help you switch to the correct level
You pay only for the level you actually need. No extra fees, no complicated process.
Still have a question?
Just ask. Use the support button, email, or WhatsApp. I reply personally.
