A Hülya, ne zamandır İstanbul’da yaşıyorsun? Hülya, how long have you been living in Istanbul?

B 1999’dan beri İstanbul’da yaşıyorum. Ben aslen Bursalıyım ve İstanbul’a Bursa’dan geldim. İstanbul’da yaşamayı çok seviyorum. I have been living in Istanbul since 1999. I am originally from Bursa and I came to Istanbul from Bursa. I love living in Istanbul.

A İstanbul’da nerede oturuyorsun? Where do you live in Istanbul?

B Bebek’te oturuyorum. I live in Bebe.

A Ne zamandır Bebek’te oturuyorsun? How long have you been living in Bebek?

B 8 yıldır Bebek’te oturuyorum. Bebek’te oturmayı çok seviyorum. Bebek İstanbul’daki en iyi yerlerden biri. I have been living in Bebek for 8 years. I love living in Bebek. Bebek is one of the best places in Istanbul.

A Evli misin? Are you married?

B Evet, evliyim. Yes, I am.

A Ne zamandır evlisin? How long have you been married?

B 10 yıldır evliyim. I have been married for 10 years.

A Hiç çocuğun var mı? Do you have any children?

BEvet, iki çocuğum var. Biri kız, diğeri de erkek. Yes, I have two children. One is a girl and the other is a boy.

A Ne zamandır çocuğun var? Yani ne zamandır annesin? How long have you had children? How long have you been a mother?

B 10 yıldır evliyim ve 8 yıldır bir anneyim. Kızım 8 yaşında, oğlum da 5 yaşında. I have been married for 10 years and a mother for 8 years. My daughter is 8 years old and my son is 5 years old.

A Sen bir iş kadınısın ve senin bir şirketin var? Ne zamandır çalışıyorsun? You are a business woman and you have a company? How long have you been working?

B Uzun zamandır çalışıyorum. Liseden sonra çalışmaya başladım. Ama 12 yıldır kendi şirketim var ve kendi işimi yapıyorum. I have been working for a long time. I started working after high school. But I have had my own company and been doing my own business for 12 years.
